School was over, she was glad. It's not that she didn't like school, it was just she could only take so much of it. Classes were exhausting, teachers were annoying, and friends always drained energy from her. At Hollywood Arts things were even more stressful than a normal highschool. It probably had to do with everyone who went there was a littled cracked. she could have sworn it was a requirement to get in or something. It made them good artists of course. You had to be a little crazy to make amazing things.
After a whole week of everyone and their own personal brands of crazy a person pretty much just felt drained. Beck invited her over though, and she enjoyed his crazy. It was better than sitting in her house alone, because while crazy was draining, alone in a house filled with people was worse. Her parents were having some obnoxious dinner party thing. People had been there before she even came home from school. All of her parents business partners and their children were to be coming. They were mostly guys, ones her mother would surely try to set her up with and quite honestly after a week of school she couldn't do it.
Her mom had set out a new dress, is she had to admit anything it was that she had good taste. It was a short black one with a blue belt that matched the color of her streaks this week. The shoes her mother picked out were amazing. Blue ankle boots, heels that were four inches at the smallest. She didn't wear them, instead black combat boots stayed on her feet. She had shown her face at the stupid party thing, but she made a quick exit out from her bedroom window. The shoes were cute, but they did not cooperate with the grid-like structure flowers were supposed to grow on, the one she often used to sneak out. She didn't bother pushing her car away, the noise inside was too loud for them to notice her engine start. She had a change of clothes in her car, but she wasn't about to change in her car. She didn't have the time. Her mom would probably send some idiot to go find her, soon. It was one of the times her parents actually cared where she was. They wanted to make it look like they were one of those perfect happy families.
Releif flooded her system when she made it to Beck's house. She parked in front, but didn't bother to say hi to his parents before walking around to his RV. He didn't have the door to the RV locked, and she didn't knock, she just opened the door and stepped in.

Beck was lying down in his dimly lighted RV. He was trying to catch some shut-eye before Jade arrived, but with the incessant amount of chirping the birds outside were doing, he wasn't sure he would accomplish his desired task. Now he understood where Jade was coming from. Birds could be annoying sometimes. Any other time, Beck would enjoy listening to the high-pitched screeches, but at this moment, they are just that. High-pitched screeches. They ran through his head like a marathon runner, and a few moments later he decided he was not going to get any rest. So, he sat straight up, and went over to feed his fish.
After that small chore was done, he called his dad, who was inside of the house, and asked if he had some orange juice. His response was that he did have some, and that he'd bring it over. It was a relief, because Beck had no income this week. And he didn't want to pull it out of the Jade Fund either. Because once you start taking money from a fund, you think it's ok to take more, and more, and more. After retrieving his citrus a few seconds later, Beck poured some into a glass he had sitting on the refrigerator. He had to admit. His RV was cool and all, but he missed the organization of a true home. But, he hated the rules, more than he missed they organization, so they would have to be put first.
After finishing his delicious beverage, Beck sat down on the floor, and picked at the carpeting. He wondered when Jade was going to arrive. He hated being alone. He didn't really hang out with anyone besides Jade after school hours. And now that he was delving deeper into it, maybe he should. He was sure Jade wouldn't mind. It was at that point and time, that he walked over to his dresser, and pulled out some red plaid pajama bottoms, and a v-neck t-shirt. He swiftly took off his original clothes, and replaced them with the clothes he had pulled out. He really like the feel of pajamas. How loose they were, and comfortable...it made him feel good.
Just then, Jade walked in without even knocking. He was half-tempted to run over, and bowl her over with a gigantic hug, but she probably would call him a weirdo, and chop him up with an axe. So, he simply stood up, and gave a her a peck. After which, he laid down on his bed, and stared at the ceiling of his RV. "Bout time you got here."

"I know right?" She said smiling as he came over to give her a kiss. She didn't do it often she knew, but she's been start to do it more and more when Beck was around. "My parents were having some dinner party thing, I had to sneak out." She explained.
"I wasn't about to stay at that shindig even if you hadn't wanted me over. Mommy dearest had a new line of dweebs set up for me. I left when one of them asked why in the world I would do that to my hair." she laughed, pulling up the blue parts to prove her point. She poured a glass of whatever they had to drink down his pants.
She looked around the small space, and set down the bag she pulled out of her car. She really didn't understand why her parents thought Friday was a good day to have a party that she was expected to attend. She was nearly positive her parents knew that she tended to be exhausted after schoo. Maybe they even missed that simple fact, she didn't know. All she knew was that the kid was lucky she didn't just punch him in the face. Though, that probably would only make more trouble for her. She was pretty sure that one of the people invited was a shrink. She sooo didn't need someone telling her why she ws so angry all the time. Especially because she wouldn't tell them anything real about herself either.
She sighed, mentally shaking those things from her head. Here she was, away from all that drama and she was still dwelling on it. She should be relaxing, and talking with her boyfriend, not obsessing about what a suckish family she had.

So her parents still hated her, eh? What more could Beck do? He was at the point where he just didn't care anymore. He had completely changed his personality for the better, just to obtain their approval. But, it was probably easier just to stop trying. Not stop being cool, no he would continue to utilize his humble personality. But he would not attain it for Jade's parents anymore. If they didn't like who he was, well, that was their problem, not his. He laughed along with his girlfriend to hide his frustration, and shook his head slowly. "I wonder when they're gonna' realize that I'm not going anywhere. I mean, it's like every week they give you a whole new setup. They should know better by now, right?"
Beck ran a hand through his black hair, and let out a drawn out breath. "Come here. Sit down with ol' Becky." He jumped up from his small bed, and grabbed her by the hand. He pulled her onto the bed with him. He sat straight up with him on her lap. "Jade. We need to seriously confront our rent's with these dislike issues. We can't start taking things more seriously if our parent's both hate who we're dating, ya' know? We need to fix this." His head rested on her shoulder gently, but he adjusted temporarily so that he buried his face in her back. "Because I mean, what if one of us breaks one day? I mean, I know it's terrible to think about, but if they keep trying this...something bad could happen." WC: 277 Muse: Pretty bad...

She sighed, letting herself be pulled down by Beck. She didn't let go of his hand even when they were all settled in, though she moved hers over his to make it easier to sit down like this. They were delving into a more serious topic, and it saddened her to think that their parents were really so against them dating eachother. "I don't know. I mean even if I was single, I wouldn't be interested in any of the idiots they line up for me. Miniature versions of my father's friends." She said. She did attempt to get them to understand even this small fact, but they didn't care.
"My parents don't approve of any of my choices. They don't like how I dress, the friends I keep, the things I create, the productions I sign up for, the classes I take, all because of the school I go to. They wanted me to become a lawyer like my older sister wants to, or a doctor like my little sister wants to. If they can't accept something that's such a big part of my life like you or my art, something that has been a constant thing in my life for so long, I don't know if I can make them see." She said.
"And I mean I want them to understand. I've tried having civilized conversations about it, but it always turns into loud arguments and me leaving the table in the middle of dinner."Jade explained turning slightly to glance at her boyfriend. "What about on your end?" She asked. She was curious about what was happening with his parents. WC: 284 Muse: eh

Beck smiled at her first comment. He knew that much at least. All of the boys her parent's had aligned for her, were like little, nerdy men. Like multiple Sinjins, but with different faces. Beck's reassurance began to rise after she made her first comment. He shifted slightly, and put a small smile on his face. "Yea, I understand where you're coming from. I guess I have it easier, because my parent's don't try and find other people for me to date." Yet another fact that was spot on. While his parents did not approve of who he was dating, they did nothing to try and change it. Beck wasn't sure whether that meant they just disagreed with his choice because of his distance from them, or because they genuine cared. Beck hoped it was the latter, only because if it was because of emotional distance issues, that would only drive them farther away.
After her second comment, Beck actually felt kind of sorry for Jade. To have such high expectations from your parents was relatable, and it took strength. That's what Beck did. However, to simply come and blow away all expectations unexpectedly, was powerful. Beck knew from the time he was a child, that he would become a child. Jade's approach was more spontaneous than most, and to reach for a dream that she was not committed to for some time was astounding. It made Beck really admire her. "Jade...You are the most amazing person I've ever met." Beck leaned over, and planted a kiss on her cheek. His comment was the truth. He felt that she was one of the smartest, most unique, and lovable girls he's ever meant. But of course, he would never verbalize it. He knew it would go to her head.
Then, she made her third comment. That one made Beck feel even more sorry for her, and released a smaller, more hidden emotion. Frustration. He was frustrated, because it seemed like no matter how hard they tried, neither one of them could get their point across to their parents. It was either their fault, or Jade and Beck's fault. However, Beck was 100% sure it was their parents fault. They just don't seem to understand where their children are coming from. Then, Beck was snapped from his well-hidden trance. "My way? Well, I don't really converse with my mom and dad anymore. But when I do, the topic of discussion is often 'that weird girl I date'." He nodded towards Jade, and smiled, and continued saying, "I defend you until my very last breath, and never back down. Even when they make a great point. Which, seldom occurs, if ever. Because, I see very little faults in you. Which is why I'll love you until the death do us part." Never had Beck poured out his heart like that. Sure, he had some heart to heart conversations with Jade before, but never like that. He had never went that in-depth before. It made him feel good, and gave him an even larger feeling of reassurance.
~~~ WC: 531 Muse: Getting better. =] Notes: Eh. Can't help but feel that was a little corny. X__X
Jade smiled slightly at the comment, "Thats probably best for the safety of whatever girls they would choose for you." She was mostly joking but she figured to mention it anyways. She wouldn't admit out loud that she was a jealous person, but that was a rather obvious piece of her personality. She tried to tone it down sometimes, but she couldn't help but be jealous when she thought there was even the tiniest chance that Beck would like another girl over her. They were nicer, and prettier, and some even more talented than her, sometimes she didn't see why Beck would want her.
She couldn't explain why Beck felt the way he did about her. He blatantly told her she was amazing, and that made her more sure of their relationship. When he leaned over to kiss her cheek she let him, but she moved to catch his lips in a quick kiss before allowing him to talk again. "You're pretty amazing yourself to be able to put up with me." She answered. She knew she could be difficult and stubborn and a bitch. That was just her, and she knew that most of their friends did not understand why Beck put up with it, and she wasn't really sure either sometimes. It was times like this that made her forget all the questions she had surrounding their relationship, they've been through some rough times with their respective parents together. They were compatible. His general niceness somehow balanced out her generally negative attitude. It worked, and she loved him.
"I mean I know I'm not normal and pretty and bubbly like Tori or Cat, but I tried being pleasant when I met them..." She said. She honestly attempted to play the nice girl that lived somewhere in her very deep down. She know she dressed different, and her hair wasn't normal, she wasn't your average preppy girl, but she never really had been. She always was a tomboy as a small child, but that evolved into how she was now. She honestly liked herself this way. She didn't want to be a carbon copy of every single girl she's ever met.
She smiled at him as he explained how his parents spoke of her. He was sort of cheesy with his speach about how much he loved her, it honestly sounded like one of the scripts they performed on a regular basis, but she knew the words spouting from his lips were original, however. It made her turn a light shade of pink. "I know I don't tell you enough, but I really do love you. More than I've ever loved anything in my entire life. Even when I just think that there is a chance that I might maybe lose you it tears me up inside. Yeah I know I sound like some terribly cliche angsty teenaged girl but unlike them I know what I'm talking about." She said. She had never been this completely honest with Beck. She needed him, and she wanted him to know how much. Words: 526 Muse: Pretty good for a day filled with boring lectures Notes: Cheesy isn't always bad....
