History: Being born in Hollywood, of course a boy would want to become an actor at one point in his life. However, Beck Oliver took it to the next level. It became his fascination, his dream. And it all began, with his parents. He was born on November 28th, to Lucas, and Marcia Oliver. He wasn't necessarily a mistake, just more of an unexpected surprise. Nonetheless, his parents loved him with all of their hearts. Beck was not spoiled at all as a child. In fact, he rarely got what he ever wanted. This was done on purpose, so he didn't turn out to be a 'Soft Priss', as his dad put it. He was taught to never complain about something, and it things didn't go his way, to not cry about it. Just deal with it. He was placed in a pre-school at the age of 4 by his father's will. At that time, they were hosting a play, for the parents to see. Beck immediately wanted to do it, and with his energetic personality, and fiery young passion, he became the lead role. He practiced his line whenever he got the chances, and got them down pat soon enough. During the play, he emitted such energy, and performed so over the top, that when he watched it back, he knew what he wanted to do. He wanted to become an actor. And there's a difference, when you want to become an actor, and when you want to become famous. There's a difference between wanting alot of money, and wanting to perfect your acting skills. And Beck learned that difference at a very young age.
Upon entering elementary school, he joined every play he could get his hands on. And he focused so much on the plays, that he sometimes forgot his scholarly duties. However, a few punishments, and he was right back on track. In kindergarten, and first grade, he got minor parts, but not parts like Tree#2. He got side parts, characters with a few lines here an there. But he wasn't satisfied with that. He wanted all of the eyes to be on him, and his skill at playing another person. However, in the 2nd grade, the school did not have the funding for a play and a musical. So, after a schoolwide vote, the school selected to have a musical. Beck was heartbroken to not have the opportunity to be in a play this year, but not defeated. He did try out for the musical, and got the 2nd largest part, behind a 5th grader. For their age, both of them could sing wonderfully. However, experience is key, and the 5th grader had much more experience. But when trying out for this musical, he had no idea he could even sing that well. When his name was called, he simply got up on stage, wailed a few notes, and stepped down. Apparently, he was pretty decent. Thus, sparking his desire to be in musicals, and plays. Throughout the rest of his elementary school life, he proceeded to be in any musical and play he got his hands on. And he got the lead part, in just about every single part. And middle school, would prove to be not much different than elementary school.
In middle school, the competition bar raised quite a bit. There were very mature singers, and very experienced actors. He had to admit, he was sweating out middle school quite a bit. However, that wouldn't stop his passion for acting. He tried out for the musical that year, but got a little surprise: he didn't even obtain a minor part. He was absolutely floored, and became slightly depressed at this point in his life. He trained his singing rigorously, and in due time, he found out why he didn't get the part: he didn't hit puberty yet. His voice was not yet matured, and it sounded squeaky and annoying. This setback had temporarily set back his musical career, but now he could focus on his acting skills. He did obtain a decent part in the play, which was almost unheard of for a sixth grader at that school. He performed it with such care, and with such technique, that the acting coach on board with the production, asked him if he would like to be lead the next two years he was at the school. Beck gladly accepted, and he felt his acting skill was near perfection at this point. The next year, he got his wish. He finally hit puberty, and his voice began to deepen. He could practically jump for joy when it began, but he didn't know it would take so long to finish. He did manage to get a decent part in the musical, and got his promised lead part in the play. Now, his name began to show up in newspapers. Local Play Review columnists would all say the same thing. "5/5." "Five stars for the play." "Amazing production! The lead was fantastic. 5/5." He began drawing notoriety for his skills as a performer. Soon enough, high school recruiters came knocking at the door. However, there was only one that caught his eye. A recruiter from Hollywood Arts. He didn't know why, or how it grabbed his attention, but one thing was for sure. He wanted to go there. His eighth grade year, his hormones began to really kick in. He met a girl named Jade West, who was almost a complete opposite of himself. Yet, he was simply infatuated by her sheer beauty, and blunt attitude. He waited one or two weeks after school started and finally approached her. Only to be rejected. Again and again, for an entire weeks. Insults were to follow, and putting him down became a religion for her. However, after one week, she finally accepted his invitation to a date. When she met his parents, he knew what they thought of him, and he knew why. They hated him, because he thought he was hot stuff. He realized his wrongs, and he then decided to do a complete 180. When he told Jade his plans for Hollywood Arts, she became worried. She didn't think she was talented enough. However, Beck knew she was talented enough. He knew everything she could do, from writing songs, to acting, to singing. So , after snooping through her notebook, Beck sent it to the recruiter who came to his house. He loved it, and gave Jade an audition to come to Hollywood Arts. Being as talented as she is, she got the chance to go there as a Freshman, and did, just as Beck did.
Upon entering 9th grade, he became scared. With his new humble attitude towards things, he needed something to lean on, because he couldn't lean on himself anymore. He relied on Jade to keep him happy, and give him a reason to stay in Hollywood Arts. When trying out for the play at Hollywood Arts, he became nervous that he would not be good enough to get a big part. But during the waiting period, he discovered something: he began not to care anymore. As long as he was doing what he loved, who cares if he got a big part? Well, his humble personality paid off, and he got a large part, which was impressive for a Freshman. During auditions, he met Robbie Shapiro, and Cat Valentine. He became good friends with both of them, Robbie because he considered him a top notch actor (Being able to control someone without looking like your talking? Awesome.) and Cat because she could sing like nobody's business. However, his school life would become slightly tainted by his home life, and his dad's rules. When his dad found out who he was dating, and what she was like from one of Beck's friends, he told Beck to dump her, or get out. So, Beck chose the latter. His dad bought him an RV, from a rapper named Fat Biscuit. He decorated it a little, and it turned out to be better than the house he lived in anyway. So, the following year, he wasn't bothered by any problems, and is still in love with JADE.
