• Smart: Studying is something that Marae will actually do for fun. She loves to know random facts that many people find useless. Her grades are fantastic, and she's always reading something new.

History:
Marae is an odd girl with a serious talent for styling. Her story starts way before she was even born. Marae's mother was a book store owner, but she was not into the fantasy tales and romantic stories. Amy, her mother, was big on biographies and hard facts. She loved her job and spent most of her time there. She was a very serious woman. Deven, Marae's father, was a regular customer at Amy's bookstore. Deven was quite the opposite of Amy though. However, this was one of those odd relationships where opposites managed to attract. Being as beautiful as Amy way, it didn't take long for Deven to fall for her. The two fell in love, they married, and had a daughter.

Amy was very uninterested by Deven's adventurous side, and she didn't care too much for all the fun events Deven was always planning for the family and often sat them out. She felt more comfortable amung her own, more serious based personality, type of people. The two often fought over how to raise their daughter. Deven wanted her to explore the joys of life and follow her dreams. Amy, however, would have just preferred it if she read autobiographies all day and never knew the meaning of television. Discovering Marae’s infatuation with hair and beauty at a young age was difficult for Marae’s mother, because she didn’t consider it a dream worth having.

The year before high school, Amy’s bookshop closed down, but she was offered another job is L.A. at a competing, popular book store that would pay more money. Deven managed to get a transfer from his own work to L.A., and the family packed up and moved. Although is was a huge argument, Marae ended up going to Hollywood Arts to pursue her dreams of becoming a stylist/make-up artist. There she made friends almost as strange as hers, and kept up at the top of her class for grades. It was awesome to be around people with the same interests.

Eli placed his hand gently on Clare's shoulder after she turned around to stop her from leaving. He didn't want her to go without actually knowing that he really didn't mean it in that way. He just wasn't sure how to act around her or anyone else at this moment.

"No, stay..." Eli spoke. "I've kind of been meaning to spend some time with you anyways. So, why not here and now?"

He let out a sigh that he hoped wouldn't sound like he was regretting what he just said or like she was a pain in the ass or something. He didn't mean it like that at all.

"Clare... I'm really sorry...about everything."

Even though Clare already knew about his girlfriend and the accident, he still felt like he had to apologize for being a jerk like he was being before he had told her. It had been on his mind for a while, and he still felt like an ass hole even though Clare forgave him. He wanted to make it up to her, because she was so understanding about the whole situation. Clare was such a great person, and she deserved to be treated so much better then him.

Besides, Eli didn't think he deserved to be happy after what he did. Clare made him happy. That meant, even though Clare was waiting on him and giving him time, that he could never really be with her. She was too amazing, and Eli was bad luck. He'd probably end up finding a way to ruin her life too even if it wasn't as drastic.
