After school was something Max never looked forward to, because it meant it had to walk all the way home. When it came to that long trip, Max was a little bit on the lazy side. He always tried to do it in enough time so that way he had two hours before his favorite cartoon, Cow and Chicken came on. Those two hours were usually filled with his homework, checking his online Slap page, and making himself some yummy nachos or a very fancy ice cream sunday. He loved sitting with his snack and watching his favorite cartoon, with his best friend Milky by his side. Thinking of Milky…
Max stopped on the sidewalk and dug into his backpack. Digging on the side of his books, he felt for something soft and full of fluff. There he was, as usual. Milky, his stuffed blue cow. He pulled him out of his backpack and gave him a hug. He always pulled him out when he was far enough away from school for the other kids to see him. He felt bad for keeping him crammed in his backpack all day, but he needed to have him with him at all time. It gave him a warm and soft feeling. He knew it was lame to be seventeen with a stuffed cow always by your side, but he couldn’t help it. Milky was his side-kick. Max had Milky ever since he could remember. It was his only connection to his real parents. He still wasn’t sure he wanted to know anything about them, but it was nice to know they existed.
The blond smiled and began to walk home again with Milky, the blue cow, in his arms. He was just never going to grow up.
