- Simple. Despite being given everything he wants, Beck always preferred the simple life. For him, it meant less problems, less complications.
- Quiet. Beck doesn’t say much, unless needed.
- Honest. He believes that lying will get you nowhere. When asked for his opinion on something, no matter how hard it is for him to say it, he will tell you the truth.
- Sweet. Others might not see this in him, but Jade definitely does. When they’re together, he always wants to have his arm around her waist or her shoulder, or his hand holding hers. He shows this sweetness in actions, because he finds it hard to put them in words.
- Calm. When Jade goes in one of her jealous moods after seeing him talking to a female classmate, he doesn’t match her anger. He knows that he would be able to explain to Jade what she needs to know without getting his temper up. He rarely gets angry.
- Happy-go-lucky. Beck has his dreams, his goal of becoming a famous actor, but he prefers not to speed things up. It’s better if you go with the flow, he says.

Mother's Name: Anna Oliver

History: Beck was born on the 9th of February, his parents both at age 32. His mother always wanted to have a child, so when she gave birth to Beck, he was given everything he wanted. Luckily, Beck didn’t turn into a spoiled boy, although he was lonely at home. He didn’t have siblings, so he was usually outside playing with the neighborhood kids.
He discovered his talent and love for acting when he starred in a school play back in fifth grade. Anna, his mother, was only too happy to support him and she signed him up for summer acting workshops. His acting skills improved, and he also held an interest in singing.
((I based this part of Beck’s history from Jade’s, I hope that’s alright))
He and Jade started dating around October, they were both in eighth grade. Beck had been given the opportunity to be the lead in one of the school’s musicals. Coincidentally, there were a couple of people in the audience who were scouting for students who could be admitted to a well-known school for the performing arts. After the show, Beck was immediately given an invitation to study at Hollywood Arts, which his parents proudly accepted.
Jade didn’t seem too happy when he told her that he was going to Hollywood Arts. She refused when he suggested that she audition, so he secretly submitted a handful of her works (songs, poetry, etc.) over to the admissions at HA, and she was called in for an audition.
It would be safe to say that Beck’s parents weren’t too fond of Jade. He tried countless times to find out what about Jade didn’t live up to their standards as his girlfriend. And when it was about their fifth time debating over why Beck refused point-blank to break up with Jade, Beck had enough.
In a heated argument, his father suggested that he move out and find a place of his own. He said that he didn’t want to see Jade in his house. Beck was furious, so he gladly agreed. Beck’s mother didn’t take this idea too well, not wanting to part with her only son. After a week of discussion, they had finally reached a compromise: Beck would move out, but stay in an RV parked in their driveway.
It was the life. He had his own place, if you could call it that. He could do whatever he wanted without answering to anyone. His mother regularly visited him, seeing if he was doing okay. After about three months, his father came and spoke to him. He apologized to Beck, saying that he finally accepted Jade as his girlfriend and that he could move back in the house.
But Beck enjoyed the life he had in his RV, he forgave his father but he didn’t go back. But his parents were only half of the problem that had to be resolved in their relationship. For some reason, Jade’s parents disliked him. He didn’t attempt to understand why this time, though he was happy that her parents didn’t threaten to kick her out of the house like his parents did.

“Where have you gone to this time, Padfoot?” James muttered to himself. Even Moony and Wormtail were nowhere to be seen. James thought hard on where he might find his best mates: he had already upturned all the armchairs and couches in the common room, thinking that maybe Peter was in his rat form. He had also done the Great Hall and every empty classroom he passed by.
Stopping in his tracks, he seemed to recall Sirius saying something about ‘finishing an essay in Potions.’ And if he couldn’t be found in the common room, it was safe to assume the worst. James had to set foot in the library to look for Sirius. He had gone to the library a handful of times in the past, but what was different now was that he was going of his own will. Usually, it was Moony who persuaded them to ‘research.’ When they all did their essays at the same time in the library, it would start with him asking Moony a few questions about the topic, then it would lead to him pleading to Moony to read through it, and it almost always turned out that Moony would be the one to finish the essays.
“Padfoot?” he called out audibly when he reached the library, only to be greeted by the librarian’s death glare. She was blocking his way inside. James could try running past her, but he couldn’t risk getting thrown out now, not before he found his best friend, and with a bit of luck, finish his essay with Sirius’s help.
“Why, Madam,” he addressed the librarian with a pompous air. “Aren’t you looking quite dashing today, if I may say so.” She eyed him suspiciously as he slowly edged around her. He winked at her and slid silently down the aisle past rows of bookshelves.
It was after a couple more rows when he finally found who he was looking for, with another of his best friends, Moony. He crossed over quickly and saw that they were talking to a girl.
He clapped a hand on Sirius’ shoulder.“ Been looking all over for you mate,” he told Sirius. Shifting his gaze to Remus, he simply shrugged. “Not really a big surprise seeing you here, Moony. I mean, this is the library.”
“Oh, ” he said, seeing June. He winked at her, making sure that the other two didn't see it. He gave her a look that said, 'Pretend we don't know each other.' and gave her his best smile. "I'm James," he said, extending his hand, trying hard not to give anything away. "You are?"
“I’m June,” James heard her say, as he received a look that he only got when he messed up big-time.
"Hi, June.” James immediately felt that pretending he didn’t know June was a very bad idea. He bit his lower lip nervously while silently apologizing to her, hoping she understood that the reason why he didn’t say that he knew June out loud was because he hadn’t mentioned to the Marauders yet that he was dating her. And the library would not be nice for that kind of confrontation. He could just imagine Sirius’ reaction, and winced at the thought. He made a mental note to talk to her somewhere and promise that he would introduce her to the Marauders as his girl friend.
