• Blunt: She doesn't sugar coat things. She is willing to tell people exactly what she's feeling about them at any given time.

• Jealous: Jade is often very jealous of any girl that even talks to Beck, though for some reason Cat is excluded. She tends to attempt to scare off anyone who does by threatening or humiliating them in one way or another.

History: Jade's life hasn't had the most pleasant of lives, which may be why she tends to be so mean. In her family she is the middle daughter. Kaitlyn was always the responsible one, and Evelyn was always the baby. Her sisters weren't any different. Kaitlyn always claimed Jade was too little to hang out with her and Jade wasn't allowed to hang out with Evelyn and her friends. Her mother said she needed to make friends her own age.

Jade was very shy in grade and the beginning of middle school. She tended to spend most of her time writing or just thinking. Her goth look began in late grade school. At first it was just a way to attempt to get attention from her mother. It didn't work, however, not even when she got a star tattooed near her elbow. It wasn't until she got her lip peirced that her mother took an interest. She made Jade take it out, and the hole heeled up just fine. Forty five minutes after that she had her nose and eyebrow done, she didn't really like the lip thing anyways. It got in the way when she talked or ate.

She met Beck late September of her 8th grade year (Note: I did that math. This is assuming both that the episode beck and Jade broke up was in september, and that Jade is a Sophomore) After a week of her ignoring, insulting and generally putting him down she agreed to go on a date with him. They've been together ever since, other than a handful of arguments) mnuch to her parents dismay. They hate Beck with a passion, not that she cares, and most time they are talking to her it's to scold her for dating him. Her parents are snooty, and they have quite a bit of money they think Beck is below her.

When Beck told her of his plans to go to Hollywood Arts she was dismayed. She didn't think she was talented enough to go to a school like that. That was until she learned Beck had been snooping in her notebook and sent in her poetry and songs as an audition. She got an official audition not long after that. Still, she thought she was not as talented as some of the other students, this caused her to work harder than many of them. She never shows her insecureties, unless they are related to Beck, so no one really knows that.

Her parents were disguested when she decided to go to Hollywood Arts. They wanted her to go to a prep school like her older sister Kaitlyn did. They were always so proud of their older daughter, who got accepted with a full ride to Stanford where she was going to school in law, but they never gave a second glance to Jade who got into one of the best Art schools stateside, the second hardest Art school to get into.
They were also hopeful for Evelyn who was going to a boarding school in London.

Jade tried to get out of the house as much as she can, but the only people who really know about her family life is Beck and Cat. Beck because her parents made her bring him home from dinner, Cat because Jade invited her to sleep over at her house for her birthday last year the third of her birthday's in a row her parents forgot about.

Phoenix sighed, mulling over the boy's words. She had to admit he was mostly right, though many people would not switch through the houses in their development there would have to be some who fell through the cracks. "I dunno, I mean sure there are some situations that would change a person drastically from their eleven year old selves, but the major part of a human's developmental process has already been went through, for those in families who breed their children to be in one house since they were born, then their lives here aren't going to change much. Sure some pieces of a person's mentality change but nine times out of ten not that drastically. There are obviously always exceptions to the rule, maybe if they did the initial sorting in the first year, then a resorting during the fourth, fifth at the latest..." Phoenix mused. She wouldn't know where she would go had she have to place on that hat a second time. She didn't tend to share Slytherin mentalities, but that didn't mean she wasn't ambitious and cunning. She could probably pass as a Ravenclaw but Hufflepuff and Gryffindor weren't for her. Just thinking about it made her cringe. Her mother would probably attempt to disown her, her dad would be screaming, and her grandfather, holy hell she didn't even want to think about it.

"Believe me, I know about the Crabbe and Goyle families. I have to be civil to them on a regular basis. Trying to uphold a conversation with them is impossible, I mean if I had to choose between throwing myself off the top of the astronomy tower and having to spend more than 6.7 minutes with them I would be off the tower in a heartbeat. At least then I wouldn't catch their stupid." She said placing her forehead into her left hand. Remembering the last time she had to go to any sort of public outing with her family was terrible. She hated having to get dressed up just for some random group of people she had spent time with on a regular basis. Hell, many of those her own age had seen her in her pajamas. Either they spent the night because they needed someone to watch them, or they were over with Scorpius or her mother planned a sleepover for herself and her sister without them knowing.

"Never heard a Gryff admit that one. I believe I've used that one as an insult once or twice. I don't see why everyone wants to be like him, I mean Harry Potter was the boy who had one really intelligent friend, and the support of pretty much the entire light side. I mean from all of the writings I've seen on him, he must bleed felix felicis." She snorted. There could really be no other explanation. He got the support of not only the order but after the initial 'Voldemort is not back' bull he also had the Ministry, as well as a few of her own family members helping him out.

"Never said they would, nor would I want them to" Phoenix snorted, "like I said they are mostly obnoxious pricks, I was merely making a point that it would have to be something severely extreme to force my family to disown me."

[/color] She shrugged, there was some semblance of family love between them. There was also extreme loyalty, they would not back-stab each other, it just wasn't an option. Even being a Slytherin you have to have some restrictions, otherwise you would end up alone, lonely and having no one but yourself to celebrate your victories with. Seeing as many of them were extremely vain, that definitely would not do. "The money is merely a perk. It'll be split up mostly evenly between the four of us, I'm sure Scorpius will get a bit more than the rest of us, considering he was born first. Honestly I could live without it, but I am not going to waste it if I don't have to. If I'm going to be miserable with either choice, I might as well be miserable with money, rather than without it." She laughed. It was that simple. There was nothing else she could say, because that was pretty much it. She snorted when he mentioned her having her eye on someone her mother would not like. "I have my eye on no one. As you may or may not have noticed on normal occasions I'm a bit antisocial. I find these situations terrifying and awkward" she paused motioning between herself and him. "and this is just platonic, hell I still freak out when people touch me. I am soo not thinking about relationships right now." She sighed running her hands through her hair. She never really let on the fact that she was afraid of anything to anyone, let alone to complete strangers.

"Like them? pff let me think of who I really get to choose from, not that I get a choice these are just the most likely candidates. So we have either of the two Crabbe boys, and that's just ew." She said shuddering. Marrying Crabbe would likely force her to do something drastic. Like paying a Gryffindor to marry her. Yup, that would work. She began speaking again. "There's Dolohov, The Flint boys, the eldest Goyle, once again ew" She said, scrunching her nose Though, I'm hoping he's little too closely related for my parents to choose," she said flippantly. She was racking her brains to see if she had any other options. "Oh and maybe the eldest Zabini. The last is unlikely due to the fact that they have Gryffindors in the family, but not impossible." Phoenix said rubbing her temples. The last was the least sickening option, but as she didn't really know any of them it would be extremely uncomfortable. this had been the first time she realistically listed the options her mother would have for her to marry. "If I'm lucky they may throw some Ravenclaws into the running but I doubt it." She added. She felt a little sick through her stomach just thinking about it. If it honestly came down to it she would probably dye her hair and take on an alias, find a job where her parents couldn't find her and then move as soon as she got the money.

"I mean my family is a misfit bunch to begin with. So yeah I can say I fit in with them, but just because I do doesn't mean I cannot understand your views and situation." Phoenix said shrugging. She didn't really feel like getting on his bad side just because she was letting her pride get in the way. It was a classic Slytherin flaw, but she learned when to catch it.
